Position Summary

  • Directs the overall order fulfillment activity for the Des Plaines parts process
  • Serves as subject matter expert for Rootstock planning, procurement, inventory, order management and pricing modules
  • Works with value stream leadership to maintain pricing
  • Responsible for supervising the procurement, stocking, shipping and order fulfillment resources
  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer property sent in for repairs
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of production schedule for parts. This includes managing aftermarket service forecast demands at appropriate levels, booked order demands and associated service forecast demand consumption
  • Responsibilities include the detailed scheduling of component parts through the manufacturing process (mostly kitting) along with purchased components
  • Responsible for inventory levels and required to meet objectives with regard to inventory turns and customer service levels
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of "Bread & Butter" List of commonly used service parts
  • Manage excess and obsolete Inventory and the associated inventory reserve account balance. Makes recommendations for process improvements that will prevent excess and obsolete inventory from occurring
  • Provides Operations team with effective leadership, guidance and communication
  • Creates work environment conducive to worker morale and motivation and to the accomplishment of performance objectives
  • Prepares and distributes key performance metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Liaison between Aftermarket team in Chesterfield, MO, the Des Plaines facility and supporting team working remotely

Education/Experience Required

  • BS/BA in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or other relevant discipline.
  • 5 years of management experience in a distribution / supply chain environment
  • Strong MS Office experience
  • Experience with / Rootstock / Financial Force or other cloud based ERP systems preferred
  • Cross-functional experience in operations and at least one other functional area

Work Environment

  • Climate controlled office environment, no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like. May have limited exposure to manufacturing areas that require the usage of PPE.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer's facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
