Position Summary

To provide Preventative Maintenance Service on a contract basis. To generate part sales through PM audits. Promote customer satisfaction and loyalty through quality service and press performance. 

  • PM Field Service Technician can work on most press models. Has less experience or ability than a Sr. PM Technician.
  • Press evaluations: work to ensure customers press(s) are operating at their optimum level. Make necessary measurements to ensure press is stepped correctly. Recommend and replace parts as needed, make necessary adjustments such as calibrations, lubricate entire press.
  • Provide customer with recommended parts lists, maintenance procedures and tips.
  • Part installation: install all parts ordered.
  • Print test press to ensure it is running to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Complete all paperwork including: recommended parts list, Field Service Work Orders, PM check lists, expense reports etc. on a timely basis.
  • Sell additional PM contracts.
  • Must possess very good customer relations skills and represent Mark Andy in a positive manner.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Demonstrated Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills,
  • ability to travel 80% of the time, basic electronics and mechanical skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read basic electrical/mechanical and pneumatic diagrams
  • Capable of using multi-meter and micrometers

Education/Experience Required

  • High School degree or trade school degree
  • 2 years customer service , electrical and mechanical experience

  • Interact with others.
  • Work in high stress environment.
  • Deal with interpersonal conflicts.
  • Work with difficult customers.
  • Work in an office/manufacturing environment.
  • Coverage during certain periods.

Work Environment

  • Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility's production floor or on the production floor in a customer's facility.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer's facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
